DRYDOCKS WORLD WILL BUILD AN UNDERWATER HOTEL OFF THE COAST OF THE UAE

Drydocks World, a division of Dubai Holding Dubai World, has signed an agreement with the Swiss expert company BIG InvestConsult to develop a construction project for the first underwater hotel World Discus Hotel off the coast of the United Arab Emirates. The Swiss company will conduct technological expertise of the project, including the study of the coast along Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Along with various underwater entertainments, the project will include a laboratory for the protection and research of marine flora and fauna. The new complex is offered in seven different design options, the cost of which is estimated from US $ 50 to US $ 120 million.

According to representatives of BIG InvestConsult, the underwater hotel will open a new page in the UAE tourism sector, as well as provide new opportunities for improving the environmental situation in the coastal zone, thanks to a special underwater eco-system.
