Sharjah will be fined for spending water unnecessarily

The municipality of Sharjah begins a struggle with those residents of the emirate who wastefully use its water resources.

This applies to all those who wash their cars on roads and other public areas, as well as pour water on the roadway. According to Sultan Al Mualla, the general director of the municipality of Sharjah, residents who will be caught during these classes will be fined. This campaign is carried out by the authorities as part of the emirate’s water conservation program.

Motorists who use the services of car washers who are not official employees of car wash companies will be fined 250 dirhams (US $ 68.3). Residents who wash their cars on the streets and roads of the emirate on their own will be fined 500 dirhams (US $ 136). Watchmen and security guards of apartment buildings, spending water unnecessarily, will also be fined 500 dirhams.
