Bentley has thrown a cover from a new convertible

January is traditionally rich in automotive news when the world's leading concerns present their latest products to the discerning public.

This year, one of the most striking premieres among those presented at the Detroit Auto Show was Bentley's Continental GT Speed Convertible, the world's fastest four-seater convertible capable of developing space speed of 325 km / h for this class of cars.

Crowning the line of Bentley Continental models, this car significantly surpasses them in speed characteristics, but at the same time, retains all the luxury attributes with which the name Bently has been associated for many years: here are seats with handmade trim in the form of branded rhombuses, and the dashboard varnished in dark aluminum is a tribute to the design of the 20s of the last century, when Bentley won one by one Le Mans races; at the request of the buyer, the salon can also be trimmed with valuable wood.

Some "retrospectiveness" in interior design is more than compensated by electronic stuffing - in particular, the infotainment system (from the English information + entertainment), which not only informs the driver of the car's operating parameters, but also offers a wide range of entertainment for its passengers, including information cards about sights, satellite navigation (which, however, has become familiar), 15 gigabytes of memory for storing music, as well as the ability to connect external players such as I-pod - all this, not counting your own CD-changer on 6 CDs to SD-card.

Of course, such an unusual car needs a proper engine. It was the upgraded twelve-cylinder (!) W12 engine with a unique twin-turbocharging system and the latest generation ME17 control processor - the latter is capable of carrying out 180 million operations per second, ensuring optimal operation of all systems, even at extreme speeds.

Thanks to the spacious four-seater interior, the lucky winner of the Continental GT Speed Convertible will now be able to ride with a breeze not one, but three of his friends. According to the manufacturer, the car was tested in various conditions, from -30 C to + 50 C. Thanks to the four-layer roof material, the temperature in it always remains comfortable, regardless of external conditions, which is important for picky Middle Eastern buyers, whom Bentley traditionally pays special Attention.
