Dragonfly Dragonfly sang red summer ... and together with us looks with surprise at the calendar, realizing that it is almost winter in the yard. This issue of the magazine fell into your hands in November-December, which means that before the New Year and Christmas holidays at hand!

Have you figured out where to spend the traditional winter holidays?

I don’t know how anyone, but this time I am drawn to Russia - I haven’t met the New Year too long for a chime, with traditional Russian salads, drinks and snacks. Two years ago, we flew to Prague for Christmas and New Year, and we were lucky - according to local residents, it was by accident that just on these dates there was a snowfall in the Czech Republic, and Europe even remotely resembled a Christmas fairy tale from Disney cartoons. Last year, in winter we traveled all of Europe from south to north, from Italy to Holland, through Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, France and Germany, but snow was found only high in the mountains of Switzerland. New Year's Eve was spent in the rain on the streets of Amsterdam. They say global warming. So, you see, in a year or two in the very center of the European Union on New Year's Eve we will be harvesting dates under palm trees.

Well, for those who love warmth, but do not want to wait, fly right now to us, in the United Arab Emirates, under palm trees, on a warm beach by the gentle sea. In Dubai and neighboring emirates, they traditionally widely and on a large scale prepare for the New Year influx of tourists, hotels and restaurants vying to invoke guests, making special offers for the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve itself. Packages - for every taste, prices - for any pocket.

And on December 26, the annual Dubai Shopping Festival, so beloved by tourists, starts, the 22nd in a row, which this time will last a little more than a month - until January 28, 2017. Already, we are starting to fill out the column “Events Calendar” on our website www.RussianEmirates.com with information about events that will be held as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

And be sure to follow the news from the UAE on our pages on social networks. Our hashtag is the same: #RussianEmirates.

I wish you a good rest, and see you soon!

Sincerely yours, Sergey Tokarev
