The power of simplicity

ON OCTOBER OCTOBER 20, DUBAI AND ARAB PRET-A-PORT MODELS AND HIGH FASHION FORWARD FASHION WATCHES PRESENTED THE COLLECTION OF THE SPRING-SUMMER 2017 SEA. BEST POINTS FROM THE CATCH - ON OUR FASHIONABLE RADAR.

The most bohemian district of Dubai d3 has once again proved its popularity among the audience. The eighth FFWD show was again held in this unique place, in a specially constructed Hai d3 space. Guests could not only attend presentations and catwalks of the best Middle Eastern designers, but also listen to seminars and lectures by fashion industry professionals, as well as see collections of accessories and jewelry at The Showcase.

Young saudi designer Arwa Al-Bawrawi presented an optimistic collection of 25 outfits and gave her a suitable name Hotel Casa Maläna 1968 - soft cotton, fine wool, silk, satin, linen and sparkles, eclectic combinations of prints, bright peppy colors, elegant silhouettes and modern women's costumes. The images were complemented by a light, like a little shy make-up MAC Cosmetics. And in general, the collection came out light and flirty.

Collection "Spring-Summer 2017" created by Saltanat Baimukhamedova for Saltaon the contrary, serious and dramatic. Models appeared on the catwalk to hypnotic music, the spotlights were dimmed. The collection includes 50 thin, weightless items from fabrics such as viscose, cotton, polyester and elastane, designed in a calm color palette: white, black and flesh tones - love, freedom, harmony and inspiration.

Another young Middle Eastern designer Hussein Bazazawho presented a joint women's collection with Farfetch (we did an interview with him in our summer issue), this time he prepared a collection of the Spring-Summer 2017 season under his own name: accents of red and emerald against the background of classic spring tones, skirts with clear silhouettes, A-shaped dresses and strict uniformity contrasted with prints, stripes, buckles and sequins.

Dubai-based designer Kristina Fidelskaya teamed up with the Sensation music festival team to create the Amore collection. Christina was inspired by the feminine aesthetics of the brand and, as she herself says, “contradictions of love”. "Modern bomber dresses and weightless chiffon blouses - my collection is full of contrasts, like women's love, which is trying to maintain a balance between passion and romance." Male models are made of traditionally female fabrics - chiffon, cotton, elegant lace - and in calm colors: olive, peach, gold, bronze and ivory. An absolute sensation was also her "golden" dresses from the new collection.

Fashion Forward Veteran Zarina (Zareena), as always, prepared an excellent show and collection in the corporate style "for real princesses". Also worth noting is the impressions Zena Presley, Mrs Keepa, Said Mahrouf and Bedouin.

Presley, like Zarina, explores frank femininity: a transparent pink shirt over a silk combination dress, a blue skirt over her pants. Another combination dress, black, covered with ruffles and decorated with bird prints - this motif is repeated on many of her tops and in combinations of tops and skirts.

And if you need not a black, but a white dress, then you should go to Bedouin. Their summer collection includes long light shirts, striped pajamas in pastel colors and a satin of juicy peach or bright blue color. Their dresses look great on one shoulder - the second can be left open - or in combination with trousers.
