This month marks three years since Café Belge opened its doors at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Center. On this occasion, the restaurant, conveying the spirit of Brussels of the 1920s, arranges a five-day “revel” called The Best of Café Belge.
From February 26 to March 2, guests will find a number of bright events, a special menu and signature drinks, and live jazz performances and entertainments that refer to the golden era of jazz will complement all this.
Special menu prepared by Chef Romaine van Durmen. It includes the most popular Belgian dishes from Café Belge over the past three years. For 210 dirhams ($ 57.17) per person, 12 delicious dishes will be elegantly served in three meals. Each of them is prepared from the best ingredients - white asparagus, sea bass and mussels. The culmination will be the most popular desserts: Dame Blanche and Brussels waffles.
Throughout the week, beer sommeliers will give Belgian passion for beer through special tastings and recommendations that complement the flavors of the menu.
You can enter the rhythm of the holiday with a potpourri of three cocktails specially created for your birthday. You have to choose from Belge Spritz, a new reading of the traditional Aperol Spritzer from Café Belge with Belgian beer for a refreshing aperitif; Hungry Belgian, a refreshing drink inspired by the eponymous story, whose main characters are gastronomic delights of Belgian cuisine; and Café Belge punch - a delicious digestif based on the classic Espresso Martini with the addition of Belgian chocolate for an unexpected turn. The cost of the tasting will be 65 dirhams ($ 17.7). The third drink will be served free of charge during the week.
On February 28th, Café Belge will host the “Jazz Night”, filled with recognizable, rhythmic sounds of classical and modern jazz, which will turn an elegant terrace into a living room. This will remind you of cult Brussels golden age evenings. The doors of the restaurant will be open from 6 pm, and performances will begin at 20.30. It is recommended to book tables in advance.
