Cancellation of flights from Russian regions to Dubai negatively affects tourist flow

Cancellation of flights to Dubai from Russian regions may adversely affect the tourist flow.

The current volume of sales of tours to Dubai on summer dates in Russia as a whole is less than a year earlier. Such data leads the portal TourDom.ru with reference to some tour operators working with the United Arab Emirates.

According to experts, the reason lies in the shortage of flights to Dubai from Russian regions. Flydubai airline, which provided direct flights from major Russian cities during the high winter season, refused flights for the summer to Dubai from Kazan, Samara, Mineralnye Vody, Rostov-on-Don. It is now possible to get from there to Dubai only by connecting routes, which created some inconvenience for tourists and significantly reduced the demand for trips.

In Moscow, the situation with sales of tours to Dubai is more optimistic. So, in ANEX Tour TourDom.ru was told that their demand is in line with last summer’s indicators, vacation packages are offered on the basis of regular Emirates flights. And in TEZ TOUR and TUI Russia even noted a positive trend - this year, tour operators for the first time took blocks of seats on board Emirates airline in Dubai. Coral Travel also cooperates with this carrier. "However, loading Emirates flights from Moscow to Dubai leaves much to be desired," the head of one of the tour operators, who wished to remain anonymous, shared his opinion. According to him, the airline turned to them with a proposal to support the flight program, taking a block of seats. “This indirectly indicates that the existing partners are not enough to ensure the filling of liners,” the expert explained.

Current prices for tours to Dubai with flights from Moscow in the coming dates start at 70 thousand rubles for two. According to observers, 5 star hotels are primarily in demand. In the summer, families consisting of adults only go more actively; they prefer to relax with children in the winter season, when it is not so hot in Dubai.
