On January 3, Dubai hosted the presentation of the prestigious sports award to football stars. Cristiano Ronaldo received two “globes” at once at the presentation ceremony at Madinat Jumeirah - “Player of the Year” and “Goal of the Year”.
Didier Deschamps earned the title of “Coach of the Year” for winning the national team at the World Cup.
A special award for career merit went to Croatian star Zvonimir Boban. Alisson from Liverpool, who was not present at the ceremony, became the best goalkeeper.
Atletico Madrid was recognized as the Club of the Year.
