In one of the emirates, you can update your rights without leaving home

The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah has the opportunity to renew a driver’s license from home.

Since February this year, residents of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) will be able to renew their driver’s license without visiting the licensing department. The move, according to Colonel Adel Ali Al-Ghayis, director of the emirate’s police licensing department, is part of the initiative of God Zayed.

He explained that drivers will be able to carry out the procedure using the “smart” application of the Ras Al Khaimah police or the Ministry of the Interior.

With the introduction of the new service, long lines and waiting hours will be a thing of the past, Al-Gaisa assures. He also promised that the new service will be available at affordable prices.

The emirate’s police, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, will also adopt a new vehicle registration system in accordance with the UAE Government 2021 government strategy. In this way, drivers will be able to update their registration certificates electronically.

Al-Gaisa also said that in the beginning of 2019, the largest driving training center in the world will open in the emirate.

"Further projects should be announced at the end of this year in honor of the Year of Zayed," he added.
