UAE Society - the youngest in the world

Young people make up 30% of the population of the United Arab Emirates. This feature is characteristic not only for the UAE, but also for all Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, which are distinguished by the activity of population reproduction processes.

Participants in a two-day seminar on regional development recently held in Bahrain stated that 6.4 million people from six Arabian monarchies, with a total population of 32.5 million, belong to the age group of 15 to 25 years.

The seminar noted the "almost complete absence" of sociological research on youth topics, the phantom of ideas about the views of youth on politics and society. Arabian sociologists emphasized the need for a fundamental change in educational programs in the countries of the region to overcome the social, material and psychological obstacles that impede the development of the younger generation.
