The history of the Korres brand, named after the founder of the company, George Corres, began in 1996, when a former employee decided to buy the first homeopathic pharmacy in Athens. As a young student, Corres began mixing natural pharmaceutical and herbal ingredients to create ideal botanical cosmetics. The first product made by the Korres brand was an aromatic herbal syrup with honey and anise, the recipe of which was once invented, and later used by George's grandfather on the island of Naxos.
