Young people in the UAE will be accustomed to seatbelts with labels and rhinestones

The initiators of the national campaign “Fashionable seat belt”, which starts in the Emirates after the end of the holy month of Ramadan, plan to make seat belts a new fashion hit in order to accustom young people to use the now unpopular car accessory.

As a recent study by the Abu Dhabi Health Authority showed, only 11% of emirates and 44% of expatriates use a seat belt while driving. Another study found that young people do not want their friends to see them with their belts fastened. “Young people love the most fashionable,” Maita Al-Habsi, head of the Fashion Safety Belt campaign, told reporters. “Many, for example, will like Gucci belts. Belts with the name of their favorite football team and belts with elements of the UAE flag that Emirates love are also popular. Other stylish options will be developed for girls. We hope this initiative will help save many lives.” .

The Fashion Belt Campaign will be launched as early as October. Fashion belts will be distributed free of charge.
