In early December 2009, Dubai hosted the grand opening of the new Ramada Downtown Burj Dubai, located in The Residence's large-scale development in the city’s new “center” - Downtown Burj Dubai. The new hotel includes 180 rooms, 30 of which are studios, 120 are one-bedroom suites, 30 are business two-bedroom suites, as well as several expensive penthouses.

The Orchid Restaurant serves international and traditional Arabic cuisine. Hotel guests can also take a dip in the hotel pool and enjoy delicious non-alcoholic cocktails while sunbathing after a swim. Among other entertainments, the hotel has badminton, squash and mini-golf courses, a private cinema for 20 people, a kids club, a coffee shop, a business center, a conference room, Spinneys supermarket and a pharmacy. The Ramada hotel rooms offer beautiful views of Burj Boulevard Boulevard, the large-scale Burj Residences project, the Dubai Mall and, of course, the world's tallest skyscraper Burj Dubai and the surrounding "singing" fountain.
