The ceremony of presenting international awards to Middle East travel companies was held at the Armani Hotel, located in the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, and was incredibly fruitful for Etihad Airways. Among others, Etihad Airways was awarded the title of “Leading Middle East Airlines”. In addition, Etihad Airways was recognized as the best among Middle Eastern airlines in three other categories: "Best First Class Airline", "Best Crew" and "Best Airborne Entertainment Programs".
Etihad Airways was founded in July 2003. Today, Etihad Airways has a fleet of 56 aircraft, performing a total of about one thousand flights per week. The route map of the company covers 66 cities located in 43 countries.
Following its new concept of passenger comfort, Etihad Airways will soon offer new ladies' and men's travel kits for first-class passengers on flights from Abu Dhabi to London, Paris, Geneva, Sydney and Melbourne. These kits include: ladies' black cosmetic bag with exclusive Swarovski crystals and La Prairie cosmetics, in particular, moisturizer, hand cream and lip balm; or a men's black leather travel bag with Schick Xtreme shaving accessories and shaving cream. In addition, travel kits will include personal care products, ear plugs, lightproof sleep dressings, and soft socks.
This is the first collaboration between Etihad Airways and Swarovski, a designer of travel cosmetic bags.
