In the UAE, they are looking for a company that will deliver passengers from Dubai to Fujairah in 10 minutes

The Dubai Future Foundation plans to find a company that will build a transportation system in the United Arab Emirates that allows you to travel from Dubai to Fujairah in just 10 minutes at a speed of 1200 km / h.

The UAE is once again returning to the concept of the Hyperloop high-speed transport system, a technology that will theoretically reduce the travel time from Dubai to the Emirate of Fujairah from two hours to 10 minutes, Time Out Dubai reports.

The Dubai Future Foundation is about to find a company to implement the project in September during the 48-hour Build Earth Live event with over a hundred participants, six teams and a group of leading international judges.

The possible speed of such vehicles is 1200 km / h, and this is quite possible thanks to the CEO of SpaceX, Ilon Mask, who is responsible for the concept of Hyperloop, a vacuum train. SpaceX is also exploring the viability of its water version.

“If the UAE wants it, this Hyperloop can start functioning before 2020,” said entrepreneur Peter Diamandis during a visit to Dubai last October.

The project will be the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), detailed information about which appeared in July. Among the plans of the fund of 1 billion dirhams ($ 272 million), the development of artificial intelligence, 3D printing and biotechnology is also named. The main focus of the DFF will be the deployment of futuristic prototypes in the urban environment through the connection of government agencies with innovative companies.

“Dubai Future Accelerator is the most ambitious program in the world,” said the fund’s managing director.
